My daughter was born in BMH Munster in 1990, just before we flew out to the Gulf (her indoors reckons I only went to get out of midnight feeds & smelly nappies Cool)

My second daughter was born there in June 1976. Very nearly appeared into the world in the back of a 2CV Very Happy

Attached to 31 Fd Amb in Oxford Barracks, we lived in a hiring In Kosters Kampken. The good lady had decided she wanted to go to a certain Schnell Imbiss in Munster before she went into hospital. Off we went, down to Oxford to check the mail, and then she decided we would walk into Munster.

We visited the Schnell Imbiss, and headed back to the quarter by bus. On the way back she decided to tell me that the labour pains had started - at 3.00 a.m. that morning. Talk about pale rapidly followed by affraid

We ended up getting the downstairs neighbour (a German) to run us into BMH Munster in his 2-door 2CV. Have you ever seen a full term pregnant woman trying to get into the back of one of those things. It took some persuading to get her to see sense and sit in the front!!

I am sure he speeded up by 10kph every time the wife winced or said !OOHHH!

Paul.

Two of my daughters were SUPPOSED to have been born in BMH Munster .
Our second daughter was too quick and we only just made it to Belfast Baracks MRS in Osnabruck.
Our youngest daughter should have been born there too but
we lived in Soest and over the christmas period (1986)we had rather a lot of snow and as the wife had rather quick labours the Belgian Hospital was a better bet.
Actually what she said was .......my child is NOT having a *%@#&*$ British Military Ambulance as a place of birth on its birth certificate!
