The front of the card shows a drawing of (presumably) the main road in Bad Salzuflen, whilst inside is a message and: "TOC H B.A.O.R. Christmas 1945" Dad died in 1990, and he never ever never spoke about the war. Mum always said that he found it too upsetting to talk about, but I suspect he simply did not think that us kids should have to hear about such things, although both my brothers were in ...
