			<description>I notice under units and barracks there is no mention of an RASC mobile bakery situated in West Riding Barracks. I distinctly recall being there on several occasions in 1958. 



I was quite intrigued by the set-up. Everything, ovens, mixing vats, the lot, was mounted on trailers or trucks which were parked more or less permanently in a large hanger. The bakers were all German civilians, a rather surly lot as I recall, but they kept that bread flowing every day. Pretty good bread, too!

I remember a Block of flats exploding, in a village behind the camp, I think that would be Nov '59 I was on stag in the vehicle lines aad saw the explosion. The duty officer sent me with a rescue party. The whole block had been raised to the ground.]]></description>

My father was WO Victor G. Lock, Ordnance Corp, Canadian Army and he was one of 3 Canadian Army personnel who remained in what was the old Brigade Area (everyone else was in the Black Forest region at Lahr and Baden-Baden or rotated back to Canada) to transfer various holdings to the British (and perhaps the Belgians...I forget).  I was the last Canadian kid to remain in the old Brigade Area (Hemer/Deilinghofen, Werl, Soest).  ...</description>
