			<description>I've just left Essen and know the Barracks in Esssen-Kray well.

Up to 2 years ago it was home to a Bundeswehr Signals Regiment specialising in SHF directional communication for telephone and FAX ( 2.5 GHz frequencies). [had a radio ham friend there who served with the Sigs Regt].



Will try to find out more about the history.



Not to be confused with the other barracks in Essen in Essen- Kupferdreh which was the HQ for the Allied City Commandant of Essen directly after WW2. This barracks  ...</description>
