I have been told it is no more and has been built over. 40 Field Sqn RE at Osnabruck, made a few trips to Hamburg by road, during exercises.

We stayed in a barracks, from memory close to a Convent or similar religous large complex in Hamburg, not too far from the city centre.

Anyone know this location?

On arriving in BAOR, we first went to Hannover before getting posted to a unit.

I was lucky to get 40 Field Sqn RE at Osnabruck.

Where was this transit camp in Hannover?
