I have been able to research the Royal Engineers in Iserlohn from 1969 to 1994 but struggling for confirmation from 1947 to 1960 various parts of the internet and in a publication “The British Army in Germany (BAOR and after) an organizational history 1947-2004” has 23 Field Regiment RE as Dortmund know that to be 100% correct from 1950 they were in Napier Barracks until disbandment being well recorded on the internet by an RA website

My father, WO Victor G. Lock, was Canadian Army, Ordnance Corp and was one of 3 personnel who remained behind to close out the old Cdn Brigade Area in 1971-72.  We lived in Iserlohn at that time.  I was the only Canadian kid still living in the North Rhine-Westphalia region (everyone else either in Lahr or back in Canada) and attended Cornwall Comprehensive (6th Form) in Dortmund (now Europa Schule).
