PostSubject: Radio Programm BFN/BFBS Teentime   Sat Jul 25, 2009 7:48 pm

rendeer
Since many years I'm searching for that signature tune of BFBS/BFN
Teentime. That program was broadcasting on each saturday morning
from 9.00 am to 10.00 am. Remember after it then came the saturday club with Brian Mathew!

So who can help to tell me the artist and the name of that signature tune.
And who was the Discjockey??

thank you

jürgen

Jurgen, not sure which years you were listening to BFBS, but I listened in the early 70's and Richard Astbury (Asters) was the main presenter. I think he was known as the housewives favourite since he had a good flirty rapport with young soldier's wives.

I know he had quite a strong German following as well, especially with Germans learning English.

He played several comedy disks (wow that sound old) such as "drinking mans diet" and "Belfast Belfast". He might have presented the Charts as well. Gosh do you remember how bad the German Hit Parade was (or was this just me?).

I'm sure Asters wouldn't mind an email if you need this information, check out his Website http://www.richardastbury.co.uk/Asters/Welcome.html

Cheers Gwynno
