PostSubject: Arthur George James Weston Lippstadt 1945-1950   2/3/2011, 20:55

Do you remember him,can you tell me anything about his time in Germany, My Wife ( his daughter ) is checking the Family Tree, and we have been told that there was a child involved that could be Her Half Brother, so if there is any thing please contact me.His time in Germany was peppered with absenteeism(AWOL) on more than one occasion, lasting upto 12 months! Busted down to trooper from corporal, and to corporal from sergent.
Was with "c"sqdn.57th T.Reg RACin 1941.

Can't tell you anything about him dajus but he sounds like a "Bit of a Lad". Smile If you have his Regimental Number and Unit you can apply to Glasgow for his Service Record, they could fill in the blanks.

We have his Service Record, that's how we know he absconded on various occassions. One thing that is known about him, is his Corporal , (when he was a Sergent ), was called Peter Moody. Peter still lives in the Portsmouth area. Please get in touch if you know him or you are him.
