| I need to paint the front of my house. Only a normal semi and it is pebble dash. Trouble is that there is a bay window and a smaller one which means there are overhanging eaves. Straight walls don't bother me so much but having to stretch to reach something fills me with fear. It is bad enough hanging on for dear life without doing that.
Strange thing is that if it was the rear of the house which is flat, I have no problem going up a ladder and it is the same height, it's just these damn bays/eaves.
What is more laughable is the fact that for the first four years after leaving school, I worked on roofs and looking back, health and safety of today would have had a duck egg if they could see the risks we took back then.
What is it about getting older and taking less risks? It's not as though we have that many more years to look forward to and even if we did, it will probably be years of arthritis, bladder problems and the like anyway. You would think people would be less worried, not more. Am I the only chicken?
P.S. Stand off ladder thingy is no good in case anyone was going to suggest it. You have to see it to understand.

| I can safely state that Becks Bier is free of the e-coli bug. A sample of six bottles was carried out will no ill effects. Okay so I am a lightweight these days but I enjoyed them.
Things you do for England (Britain).

Things you do for England (Britain). That's what I like to see, a thorough investigation backed up by facts. Not easy, but I suppose somebody has to do it. Your citation is in the post.

It just doesn't go right when you say I did it for Britain really. I actually shout at the box when they say England when they mean Britain. I'm no nationalist and anyone who has been in the forces knows we were a mixed bunch and no one gave a damn where you came from. Just mates and colleagues.

I read rather an interesting article yesterday.Briefly,,it said that if you drink iced water the body burns aprox 33 calories heating it to 27 degrees If we apply this principle to BEER,then i reckon drinking cold beer is a good supplement for weight loss..The trial begins to day What do doctors know anyway |
