I think you could be right about Iran, mind it has sort of been on the cusp for a number of years now, I also think Israel is another to keep an eye on, starting to get a wee bit edgey

Olympics - Bit of a waste of money for a 2 week event. Still, plenty of accommodation left over for all the foreigners to move into.

Absolutely correct, let's just hope the Government manage to recoup most of the monies spent on all this building, at least that way they won't be asking us to foot the bill for all that which is not paid for pale pale

One more thing, Israel is the pig in the poke in the Middle East, so long as the US support them.
Think the Middle East is off my holiday shopping list. Even little Cyprus (went there 2009 & 2010) is too near for comfort.

Hey Les,

Visited Turtle Bay this year on our hols with the Granddaughters. Noticed a lot of developements but all only half finished and no one working on them.
Stayed 5 miles west of Kyrenia at a place called Citrus Tree Gardens.

The other place for turtles is about 9/10 miles west of Kyrenia.
Used to visit Kyrenia in the 1950's on my trusty Triumph Speed Twin, kerfews permitting.
The jewel in the crown for the Turkish side of Cyprus.

Gordon,

Predictions :

1. Libdems will leave coalition.
2. Diamond Jub medal will not extend to veterans.
3. Swindon to become a city.
4. Man City becomes League leaders.
5. We will have a very hot summer.
6. There will be a confrontation in the Falklands although not as big as first one.
7. Milliband will be replaced in Labour party.
8. Brown will be elevated to the House of Lords.

All good fun - let's have others with their predictions, serious or otherwise.

Jimsigs1

Interesting predictions, well some of them...

I think the chances of a coalition split are minimal, it's the first time the Liberals have been in number ten for 100 years and Clegg knows it will probably be another 100 before it happens again, he has grabbed his fifteen minutes with both hands and I cant see him giving it up easily. With the fixed term parliaments act Cameron can not now call a 'snap' election unless he has the support of at least two thirds of the house and for that he would need the support of the opposition, it would be a miracle if that happened. Labour have made no secret of trying to talk the LibDems into leaving the coalition and joining Labour in a rainbow coalition, if that were to happen then Milliband would force Cameron to carry on as the leader of a powerless minority government...all interesting possibilities, but I'd bet on this coalition running full term.

Interesting Wilf. The only spoiler for Cleggy clinging onto power is if the Euro problem deepens, then 'Call me Dave' would call a snap election on his terms and with only his party. Then Cleggy can dissapear to the back benches. He would then more than likely be replaced as leader of his party. Still, he's got his Spanish houshold to consider etc.
