Not sure if it's Urdu or Nepalese Brum, but I do know that a rough translation would be "Abandon hope all ye who enter here". affraid

Gordon,

Talking about Warrant Officers, Eddie Holness was in my opinion one of the best. The other Warrant Officer in 7 Sigs was Tom Joyce in 1 Sqn - both great guys.

Tom Joyce made RSM and then he emigrated down under. Don't know any other details but is is one of the best SSM's I have ever had. The other two were Jock Fisher of 206 Sig Sqn Munster ( later met him in Singapore) & Eric Webster of 249 Sig sqn Singapore. He finished as a Major (QM) and we meet every year at the Harrogate Association Reunion.
