If you say "Compus Mentis" in a Scouse accent, it sounds almost like Latin.

So there is a connection to a Latin American topic in this post......

True, true ! I remember the news flash, I was driving south having been
to a site in Kirkcaldy............ Had some good times north of the border,
some of the best bits of UK up there............ God, you'll have me in tears
wondering where it all went to ! But I did have a dodgy Scotch ( or Scots ?)
Pie once in Falkirk. Stopped at every service area going south....... and some
other spots where I had to get off the M6 urgently..... One way of losing
weight, though
t !

Ref yr. "Scots/Scotch" Roger. ( or Rodney) To be honest, I did know this, but
"Scotch Pie" rolls off the tongue more easily ....... to me...... than "Scots Pie".
And the one that caused the bother, the one which was more anxious to come out than stay in, was from an Asian outlet. Should have known better.
