| Ahhhh....underage drinking! The rite of passage of every Army dependent in Germany. All in all, it stood me in good stead actually as when I returned to Canada -- now of legal drinking age -- I was 'above' what everyone else was doing, which was to get as bombed as possible as quickly as possible. Waste of time. I'd learned 'having a few beers' was a social undertaking not just a piss-up. Not that I didn't engage in the odd piss-up in my day --before and after my return to Canada -- but I had some idea how to not be a total idiot when drinking. Of course, I never have needed a drink to be a total idiot LOL....well,bit of an idiot....whatever.... |

| Some of our mob would play a card game in which the first one to draw an ace from the pack named the drinks in the next round , the next ace to come out meant that the drawer paid for the drinks and the third ace sentenced the drawer to having to down the always included Ratzeputz . I tell you what.....seems like yesterday although it was during the years 54/56 N/S. |
