drunken Cany anyone who was stationed at Depot Troop, 11 Sigs Regiment at Camp Centre RCT Squadron lines in the hot summer of 1976?

I can vaguely remember it...... much boozing-in-the marsh. Hmm. the last months of service for many Signal Squaddies before being posted out abroad, or posted out to Civvy street or Med dishcarged. Happy days or not? Sleep drunken clown

.. and thsoe wednesday afternoons indulging in 'Sports' either in the Camp British legion Club getting more and more 'wibblised' as the afternoon wore on, or out down at other Pubs such as the Colburn Lodge Arms.... now that was a dump. affraid cyclops clown

Unclevanya,
Can only talk about 11 Sigs 1968-72 then left the Army.
Great memories of Helles Barracks. Didn't do to much pub cruising as I had the family with me. Remember the ranges at Warcop, the flooding of camp centre, BMH where our youngest was born and my demob in 1972.

The Corporal's mess, Helles Lines - I seem to remember that it was a temporary building at the back gate to Helles Lines. I can remember often after a heavy 'Beer O' Clock' session, climbing over the back fence and staggering along dark paths at night to the then Depot Troop Lines near the Old Baghdad Gym. many a time I fell over and landed in a ditch to turn up at the accommodations looking like a tramp.

What a Face Hmm! Happy days or not..... Not really. it was the hangovers I couldn't hack, and having to be back on parade the following morning. Yuck!!
