| Occasionally I used to see people on courses at TTS REME Duisburg and at Sennelager who were based in Trieste. Did this garrison come under BAOR? Anyone ever stationed there? | |

I believe Trieste came under Headquarters British Troops Austria (the Old Eight Army) (the D Day Dodgers) who fought there way up the length of Italy from the initial Salerno Landings We do have a few contributors who served in Trieste who will be able to give a definitive answer.,rt | |

| Both my parents served in Trieste, - my mother was a secretary to a General and my father was the engineer in charge of the radio station. They were moved to Klagenfurt in 1954 and that is where I was born in the British Military Hospital | |
