Er....... Quite Eric ! I think there maybe some confusion here. Brum is not referring to the brave lads with redtops to their flat caps, but his scorn is directed at the braying red-nosed layabouts who hang out in Westminster.

Similar problems can arise with TAVR soldiers who could stick "TD" after their names when the Territorial Decoration had been awarded for 12 years of undiscovered incompetence . A "TD" now indicates the bearer is a member of southern Irish legislature. .
