Lübbecke/Lubbecke; who knows/remembers Andrew H. MacDonald

I´m looking/interrested for information about my uncle Andrew, Captian or Major.
I´m 61 years old and a nephew of him. I visited him and his family in 1978 in GB, Hemel Hempstead. I stayed there a whole week, but we talked never about his service and the past.
He married ~ 1947 ? my aunt Gertie (my fathers sister). They lived some years in or nearby Lubbecke. There is also a letter, 23.6.51, from Andrew to my parents, the adresse was: Organisation Branch, Office of the Chief administration Officer, Wahnerheide, B.A.O.R. 19.

Now i´m 61, one of their daughters ask me for information and i knew nothing.

Is there anyone who knows something about his service since ww2 and later?

I am guessing but I believe your Uncle was a member of the Control Commission Germany (could have be described as the British Civil Service in Germany- although members were civilians in status, Executive level members often used their former military ranks).

As we have discussed elsewhere on this site there was a large CCG presence in the Bunde/Lubbecke area a satellite to the main British Army Headquarters in Bad Oeynhausen in the late 1940s . Another clue is his later appointment in Wahnerheide. The post code BAOR 19 indicates he was living in the Cologne area, if he had been still a serving Officer he would have been employed at RAF Wahn (now Cologne/Bonn Civil Airport
