| Does the Army still run LST's landing craft at all, and if so, they still operate out of Marchwood in Southampton Waters? It is a long time ago when I was stationed in Winchester, Hants and I often heard that the RCT's Marchwood base was quite large, and that they ahd quite a few vessels there. | |

| 17 Port & Maritime lost their RCL's in March this year. There is talk of the site at Marchwood being sold, but then again, they have been saying that for at least 5 years to my knowledge.

| I did read somewhere that they want to build a container port on most of the site but retain an area for a smaller military dock.
