I have not been able to log in for about 1 year. so pleased to re connect today. anyone know if this occurs frequently? I Missed my daily log in. never hear from any of my old mates from the 13/18 Hussars when based in Neumunster. Went to Kiel in September
we drove up from Zeebrugge to Kiel , Must say Germany has changed so much {for the worst} since my last visit 5 years ago, Norman Dennis.

Welcome back, glad you found us again

The Schleswig Holstein research team is still trapped in the mysteries of who was in Schleswig and Eckernforde and when

Once this puzzle is solved Neumunster is high on the list to be tackled. Your expertise will be needed

For starters which British units were in Neumunster in your time besides your own Regiment?

I was in Neumunster 1956 until 1958, We the 13/18 hussars were the only British forces in Neumunster Apart from R.E.M.E. and Royal Signals Both attached to our regiment. the nearest British forces ,were
a small detachment of The Royal Engineers in Kiel and RAF Schleswig who had 2 Mosquito aircraft at this time.

Thank you for this useful information

As I think I have said before, when you were in Neumunster I was twenty five miles away at school in Ploen.l
