Thanks for giving us the chance to see photos from Luebeck and others. Not often we get to see RAF in this area of Germany.

I've got relatives in Kiel, Schleswig-Stadt and near Eckerfoerde. Only been to Luebeck once, on research to Moisling Jewish Grave Yard.

I Now discover one of my relatives has taken up residency in Luebeck. Must make an effort to visit the Stadt Luebeck.

Luebeck, as was Eckerfoerde, were the centre of many 'Displaced Persons' Camps in the British Zone..

Thank you

I take many of the RAF Regiment Claims of this era with a pinch of salt. RAF had occupied many former Luftwaffe airbases prior to this in their advance across North West Germany. Another document claims that RAF Regiment were the first into nearby Travemunde. Think the Commando Brigade, 5 Infantry Division and 11 Armoured Division would all politely say "Really?"
