Unfortunately it impossible for the current Administrators to amend the original data as the site was "locked" following a sudden unexpected change of ownership

Thanks. I found the mistake while trying to get some dates for my history. It was a bit difficult to find 1 Field Ambulance until I took the RCAMC off the search parameters. Been bitten before by "sudden unexpected change of ownership" on other sites. I understand your frustration.

Slightly off topic. Several years ago I passed through Sparwood enroute from Fernie to Edmonton, called in to see the worlds biggest truck - small world! Shocked

The old Titan is no longer the "largest dump truck" but we're leaving the sign as is: we use the excuse that it is longer than the new 360 tonners. The new ones are single rear axle, taller and shorter. She was still an amazing beast. I've never ridden; I was a cost accountant at the mine, but I have heard her coming many times. The engine and generator were bought by CP Rail when we put her on display.

Where you stationed at Chambly or near Werl? (I can never remember the difference between Fort Anne and Fort Victoria.) I know 1 Fd Amb moved from Chambly to Werl and back to Chambly during its existence.

Cold War is very hot for historical research at the moment. Do you have any good stories or photos from the period you care to share?

I was in Chambly from Aug 65 to Aug 67, when I terminated at end of 5 year commission.
