Welcome
The history of 94 General Hospital/BMH Hamburg in the immediate post war years is somewhat complicated and is the subject of ongoing research
Central Hamburg had been very severely damaged by bombing during WW2. As a result the Military Hospital was located for a time in the western suburbs, Fuhlsbuttel has been suggested, a former Germany Army Anti Aircraft Regiment barracks at Rissen is a definite (this is now the Westklinikum on the Suurheid to the south of that community)
Another possibility is the Lesserstrasse building in Wansbek A photograph of this building can be found if you go to the Main Home Page (not Forum) of this site. Click on Locations, then Hamburg, then BMH Hamburg you should see what you are looking form
Incidentally, your Father must have been based in Lubeck at the time of your birth, however within days the Battalion moved to Brunswick as part of a complicated switch of responsibilities involving the British 16 Parachute Brigade and the Norwegian Tyskland Kommando

| Welcome Barnow
Further to JPW's post, according to a RAMC website 94th British General Hospital RAMC – Hamburg-Rissen disbanded Dec 45
Clearly it was not just moved
Also recorded 9th British General Hospital RAMC – Belsen Camp to Hamburg Jun 46
History is a mystery and only as good as those who wrote it down!

| To add to the confusion I have a copy of the Hamburg District LOCSTAT for April 1947 which clearly shows that British Military Hospital Hamburg was definitely at the Suurheide Rissen
Search of the internet shows that the phrase 94 Military Hospital Hamburg was still in use in 1948
