Following on from Sheldrake's mention of Magdeburg Maggie, it reminds me of the days I was in Berlin and having done the Higher German course did some occasional work for the CI Pln.
I also taught German on the Bill und Jock in Deutschland course. The CI people asked me to always mention Maggie at some time in the course. Couple of weeks later one of my CI drinking pals told me that one of the Paddys (5th Skins - Brooke(?) Bks) had reported one of the German drivers for going into his Unimog each day and listening to Maggie.
A raid followed which found said driver was taking time off to hear the Lotto results. True story too.
I've lots of great memories of Berlin but especially some of the ridiculous things we did during the "flag-flying" trips inside East Berlin; I think some of them may still be Classified !

I remember the Bill und Jock handbooks. "Guten Tag, Ich heisse Bill und das ist mein drunken freund Jock". Laughing
