Hoping that somebody confirm if the formation was in Iserlohn or not

History of 23 Field Engineer Regiment 1948 to 1958

On 1st February 1947 the 2nd Infantry Division was reformed from what had been 53rd (Welsh) Infantry Division with the HQ at St Davids Barracks Hilden with elements of the 5th Infantry Division that was finally disbanded in September 1947

2 Infantry Division RE
Feb 47 to Jun 48
Mons Barracks Iserlohn
May 47 - 244 Fd Coy originally 53 Inf Div renamed 2 Fd Coy then 2 Fd Sqn in Jan 48
May 47 - 245 Fd Coy originally 5 Inf Div renamed 5 Fd Coy then 5 Fd Sqn in Jan 48
Jan 48 - 38 Fd Sqn originally 5 Inf Div

23 Field Engineer Regiment
Jul 48 to Dec 48
The first field engineer regiment in Germany was formed at Mons Barracks? Iserlohn?

2 Fd Sqn supporting 6 Inf Bde
5 Fd Sqn supporting 5 Inf Bde
38 Fd Sqn supporting 4 Inf Bde
21 Fd Pk Sqn

Dec 48 to Jul 50
Regiment moved to Gordon Barracks Hameln

The above information is recorded on the RE Museum website but 'The History of the Corps of Royal Engineers' has the formation at Hameln

Jul 50 to May 58
Regiment moved to Napier Barracks Dortmund
Oct 57 - 38 Fd Sqn moved to Smuts Barracks Berlin now supporting Berlin Brigade

Oct 53 - 14 Fd Svy Sqn arrives at Napier Barracks but under command HQ BAOR

1954 to Jul 58
21 Fd Pk Sqn now independent unit under local command moved to 40 Adv Stores Engr Regt Kitchener Barracks Willich

Commanding Officers
Lt Col AHM Morris - Lt Col RFE Stoney - Lt Col JG Carr RCE - Lt Col KH Stevens RCE

23 Fd Engr Regt was the last field engineer regiment to be disbanded and squadrons then became independent 2 Fd Sqn under command of CRE 2 Div Lt Col EF Kyte at Lubbecke 5 Fd Sqn under command CRE 4 Div Lt Col GCS Montanaro at Herford

But it does not seem to mention Iserlohn.

Appricated but as my text stated the RE museum has Iserlohn http://www.remuseum.org.uk/unit_history/ check the squadrons hoping there is a senior 'sapper and miner' out there who can help

Have been at the RE Museum to check things out and can confirm 2 Inf Div Engrs formed in Iserlohn May 47
2 Fd Sqn formed Mons Barracks Iserlohn May 47 from 244 Fd Coy
5 Fd Sqn arrived Aldershot Barracks Iserlohn Aug 47
38 Fd Sqn arrived Aldershot Barracks Iserlohn from disbanded 5 Inf Div Jan 48
21 Fd Park Sqn formed Iserlohn Jul 48 from 244 Fd Coy

23 Fd Engr Regt formed Mons Barracks Iserlohn BFPO 24 Jun 48 to Gordon Barracks Hameln BFPO 5 Dec 48
