| Hi Eddie, I am a german boy (ok 47 years old boy) from Nienburg, and maybe you have seen that I am looking for old photos from Nienburg. Could you help? Do youhave some in your fotobook at home?
We had a neighbor and his name was Tiggy Wright (I hope to spell it correcty) ... might that help you?

many thanks for your reply.
I will try and get some photos for you, but there won't be many because
I did not have a camera in those days - other people tended to take pictures, and I only got a few, mainly on or in the army barracks.
tell me something Peter - is 'The Long Bar' still open in Nienburg?
That was our favourite place to have a few beers  |

the "Long Bar" is called "Lange Theke" and no, there is a rocker meeting point now. The inkeeper "Regina" is very ill and sold it ...
Do you remember anything else? Maybe I have some photos for you...

I am told that the army barracks is now a police station and part of it is being demolished.

The baracks are now used as a police headquarter, and some of them must made place for our new health centre (hospital, lots of doctors...). If you would like to see the fotos I will send them to you... what is your email adress?

They may be of little use though because they are mainly army lads having beers and barracks, but see what you think.
