| Ladies and Gentleman - a question. Where would you suggest that a page for the Royal Marines is placed 1. In the Regiments and Corps Section as a Corps? 2. In the Royal Navy Section under their own heading? 3. In their own "stand alone" page on the Main Forum? Plans are afoot for them to be included on the main site as well. Suggestions please as to their best location. Paul. | |

| Paul The Royal Marines as the Navy's Sea Soldiers would be most upset if it was inferred they were part of the British Army. Option 2 for me as so far as Germany is concerned a number of locations/units had a mix of RN and RM Personnel | |

Paul. I'd vote for 3. Reason - many Army Pers also did the Commando Course.

| I go with Op 3. They mix well with the navy, but they do a lot on their own. | |

| I'd say option 3 as well.
I'm thinking if someone is seeking info/contacts/updates etc. on Royal Marines they may not think to look under Navy and they certainly probably wouldn't look under anything "Army"!
Having their own page just makes things easier. They're still connected to the site itself,of course.
Option 1 is valid as well. This is where I would go to look barring a separate category of "Royal Marines".
It'd be great if they were included on the site as there's an old teenage mate of mine who ended up joining the Marines and while I have 'feelers' out on another site for him, and have connected with someone who used to chum with one of his younger brothers and is still in contact with that brother, I have yet to hear anything. Maybe if RM was on this site it would improve my chances of reconnection.

| I would agree with option three. Do they still have attached RA and RE personell in their Commandos who are required to complete RM training before wearing the green beret? | |
