| Good evening everybody and a Happy New Year! "Joining your net", as we "Flaggies" used to say. There's a lot of thought provoking stuff on this great site and I'm looking forward to getting involved in it. Regards, Bazza. |

Len (Ciphers) Cheers Len, "Flaggies" is the proud name we RA signallers gave ourselves. In your day I imagine "Dropshorts" or "Long range Snipers" would've been what the Gunners were called. Later we came to be called "Plankies" (As in "thick as two short ..") We had a lot of respect for the old Scaleybacks, they could do MORSE!. Bazza |
