I was in the Signal Squadron block across the road from yourselfs my office looked onto your buildins main entrance.
The Royal Engineers Postal and Courier Unit were located on the lower floor from yourselves.
Right I have a very good friend up here in the North East of England. He too served in the A.E.C. his name Tim Bevan possibly you know each other...

Bobwa I was there left August 81...
Two RPC lads I recall.
Cpl Geordie Waugh (Sqn Armoury)
and a L/Cpl Paddy Whats his name???
Theres a chance you worked under the SQMS S/Sgt ***** -Lloyd.
a double barrled name. Williams comes to mind Lloyd-Williams ?

I enjoyed my time in York Bks  from 1977-81.

Hi Advent, I'm not sure abut Cpl Geordie Waugh, the armour when I was there was a Cpl Dennis Whitker, and the SQMS was a S/Sgt Lloyd-Williams. I was there with pte (l/Cpl) Mark Lines, pte William Slim,

Possibly Geordie Waugh had left the unit and Dennis Whittaker I do recall.
SQMS Lloyd -Williams he changed his Surname through marriage to Dewanz.
I believe its a South African name.
I have a link to an image of Geordie Waugh entertaining our 3 year old son.
This image was taken at a Flat Party in Peterbucher back in December 1979.

Hi Advent the picture has come out on your list, but having seen the picture he looks familiar to one who was on exercise with us, he was stationed at Bunde and he spent the entire exercise sleep on the shelf in the front of the 4 tonner that Dennis Whitaker was driving. But I may have him confused with someone else.
