Hi Jerry,
I served at good old Caprivi, albeit a bit before your time [1962 - 65] in the days when the unit title was 15 [Tipper] Coy RASC.
I was with 1 [BR] Corps Vehicle Coy RAOC and we also had 12 Ordnance Field Park RAOC in residence.
Our local was that little Keller Bar ran by Gisela, just across the road from the guardroom which was then on Blumenthal Strasse but I understand the guardroom moved to the Caprivi Strasse entrance some time after I left.
Scarborough Bks has long since become a University of Applied Sciences with a large new building erected on what was the square in front of your accommodation block/Sgts' Mess and there's new houses standing on the ground at the rear which was once your vehicle park and 12 OFP's storage sheds.
I have the fondest of memories of Osnabruck, for me they were happy and carefree days.

Must say the Osnabruck Barracks were unique design, architecturally, and quite attractive buildings....not the usual utilitarian looking barracks as we saw in Iserlohn and certainly far superior to the dreadful ones in Deilinghofen!!

it'd be interesting to have before and after pics taken from same or similar perspectives.

I am always pleased to see the old barracks be put to good use and many of them, it seems, are used as technical colleges.

Hi scouse and welcome, the easiest way is to set up an account at photobucket.com upload the photos and then post a link on a thread here using the image icon above, the one next to the chain icon. Hope that helps
