| BAOR and BFG as well as RAFG was home to thousands and uber thousands of troops (and airmen type things) for 60+ years. I am amazed to see that the RAOC appears to have the majority vote when counting members (active of course).
Just thinking aback - I knew guys who had spent their entire careers in BAOR apart from courses etc and all Inf/Cav/Armd Regiments had at least one if not several tours of Germany.
Why then is membership focused on RAOC/RCT/ACC and REME types with the odd inf/cav guy thrown in? |

| Yep we have a few Bleeps (R Sigs) on board as well. Cannot really say why we get more Corps than regiments, as everyone is wellcome.
All I can say is spread the word, and drop a plug with the URL for BAOR-Locations whenever you are on another military board. _________________ Sua Tela Tonanti

| Oh my goodness - I suppose I had better be pleased my first posting was in support of 1 BR Corps then..... Having said that - our stand in CSM, SSgt Kenny (I can't remember his surname lol), couldn't spell to save his life and wanted to be called 'Sir' as his position was that of CSM - When in the bar I explained to him it was, in this case, the rank and not the position which held the title of 'Sir' - he called me stupid, ignorant etc etc - a week later the OC was supposed to have told him that WO2 is the sir bit and the position is that of Sgt Maj.... Oh how lovely silent justice can be |

| The fact the title of the website is BAOR/BFG probably precludes most ex RAFG types from considering looking at it. |

Just have to add RAFG? I notice you served on an RAF station and I did as well. There must be many of us brown jobs who did. Never really thought about the blue jobs before and just assumed they would join in if they wanted to. One for the mods maybe? |

| Forum has always been 'British Forces Germany' and not just BAOR
I have added RAFG to the title to highlight this. _________________ Sua Tela Tonanti
