PostSubject: S. Smith (?) / Goslar - update2   Wed Jun 17, 2009 1:21 pm

Hello everyone,

I am writing on behalf of a german Lady who is looking for a certain S. Smith (?) (Sidney / Sid / Cid?). Apparently, he was a Sergeant Major of the Sherwood Foresters / Worcestershire and stationed in Goslar, Germany, during the post WWII occupation.
He left Goslar in March 1950 for England - probably Weybridge, Surrey, although it is not clear if he was stationed in barracks or lived around there.
He was born in 1912/13.
His nickname was 'Long Henry' back then.

If anyone has any information regarding this man or his family, I would be absolutely greatful to know. Also: If there is someone out there who is reading this and also served in Goslar during that time - please feel free to contact me. All the chances I have on finding him lie in your hands, Gentlemen.

I also have pictures, if this is any help at all:

Thank you in advance for your help,

Tessi
