| Going back in time: Commercialised RASS 1986 - all the fun of the fair - appealed to most of our German neighbours too! Used to be a floating event, around Whitsun and just before Ex Summer Sales - kept the families happy, met people you hadn't seen for years, and lots of back slapping around the Birthday Honours List; promoted dogs, horses, Pimms and Guinness. Remember Townsend Thoresen sponsoring the arena display and their first fashion parade of orange jump-suits/coveralls /they caught on with our country cousins?)!
