Not been around

Sorry for not being around, unfortunately I caught the Flu and ended up really ill, the flu opened me up and I caught Pneumonia from which I am starting to recover. 2 stone lighter and looking like a Bosnian diet champion I have resurfaced from Duvet cove and hankie valley to wreak havoc...

It's all over the place Martin, half our work force is off with one bug or another, I thought the extreme cold spell we had was supposed to kill off bugs and germs.

Glad you survived. Some don't. Welcome back.

Bet the NHS never wrapped you in wet blankets to cure your pneumonia. That's what a doctor did to my uncle in a POW camp and it worked.

Truth be told I had two home visits, my first since a young lad with measles. Second visit my Gp called an ambulance which took me to A&E, unceremoniously plonked in the decontamination room I was 'attacked' by a junior SHO who took 2 attempts to draw arterial blood - Very Painful. and two attempts at getting a line in.

My partner arrived in time to see me walked off, no wheelchairs available, to Xray to have my chest done.

3 hours later said junior blood sucker and a consultant came back and told me the obvious that I had flu and should finish the tamiflu....oh, and I had caught pneumonia so here, have a second set of anti biotics and, well, errr, we are full, we have no beds, can you go home?! If it gets worse, call 999 and ask to go to another hospital - The gods honest truth!
