Wedding related.

Waiting for the 10 o'c lock news to start last night, I was subjected to a blast of pre-wedding hysteria.

Among it all was a short clip of a Woodento . . .sorry, Guards band marching along and, in the middle of them was, (gasp !) a khaki-clad Australian !

What's going on there then ?

Blimey Brum !!! quick off the mark this morning, I thought I'd get in quick with the initial post on this subject. Day off today, ( some bloke is marrying a bird in London apparently) in my line of work every customer is closed for the weekend, so this is an excellent excuse for my wife to find 'jobs' for me to do. ( my electric drill is on charge at this very moment) . Operation " Fit the Mother in Laws New Letterbox" is first 'op' of the day. So if you dont hear from me again, Its been nice knowing you . !

Looks like the Combined Cadets, the Girl Guides and the Brownies will have to fill the gap, this time.

The advantage here, is that I was up by the time the wedding was over. Got to see Willy boy snogging her on the balcony. I do love a parade, so long as I don't have to participate.
Had enough in the 23 years of soldier boy stuff. I will watch for parade bits on the re-runs to-night. That is if the excitement of it all, is not over ridden by me nodding off. Lets see it's 1900 hrs now in the UK, so Harry boy must be having it off in the butlers pantry by now with some little piece of bunt.

Came across some of your AAC types. First, there was the Catering Officer at Harrogate when I was there in 1949-52, Lt Keith Hudson. Understand he became a Brigadier.
Then in Cyprus 1955-7, the Middle-East School of Cookery were in our camp in Famagusta. Lovely grub when they had upgrade courses. Can only remember one type - WO2 Jack Tattersall.
