Stuff Snow Queen----FRANSKI WAS MUCH BETTER

28 Sigs Fransica Barracks- Every type of exercise was Fran this and Fran that......so Franski was born.........bloody wunderbar....... only went for a week but nobody wanted to come down to Murnau to sample the sking so like a good little squaddy I volunteered.........8 weeks of skiing and on the piste.........Stayed with a German Alpine battalion, great bunch of blokes........met my first German girl.......even got invited to tea cos her dad wanted to see what a british squaddy looked like.........he disliked the yanks so we had a lot in common........weekly visits to Munchen.........Rozenmontag there in the Hofbrau Haus.............fell under a train in Munich station.............great memories......

Thanks Gordon, yep seen it many times, I think I may have offered some pics when I was back there last year.

I always thought that we (rsigs) were considered to be the geeks of the army cos we played around with radios.................................................so why arnt we all on the net.........or did we grow up and find better things to play with????

Funny you should ask that. Only yesterday I was in conversation with an ex RA radio signaler and the topic of computer and the internet came up. He admitted that he has never had the yen to play around with computers,and he put it down to the many hours on end that he had spent playing around with radios.
