They have a few Duty Free shops here in Kyrenia selling whisky that I have never heard of, such as J Walker Blue Label (£180), Glenfiddich Liquer, Snow Grouse.

You can get Snow Grouse in Asda at around 16 quid..Not heard of the other two,tho. they could be export only.

Glenfiddich Liquer..75 quid at the whiskey exchange.

JOHNNIE WALKER - Blue Label 150 quid at the drinkshop.

I've mentioned this before, but if you are partial to a drop of DAB, it is available from the "Bargain Booze" outlets.
Also (yet another topic) I suppose most are aware of the Veterans Badge by now, but if you google Award Medals,"British Forces Germany" and "Cold War" medals/ties etc are also available for us lucky lads (at a price, of course.)

I think the subject of comemorative medals has bin done to death...

It'd be interesting to learn how prices such as these are justified. And more interesting to know who buys them, if they are widows & if they are in line for a
chatting up. But don't expect me to buy the drinks if that's the sort of tipple they expect. Oh, and bring your purse, love ................

HAH, Oddly enough I noticed how may german men (and some women) wore 'taches, not something you see often here these days. I stood out with my beard though, that is unusual there.

Strangely enough, the interloper who was queering my pitch, was a Brit on a break from where he usually hung out in Thailand. Tried some futile interrogation but never did discover what he was up to out there. One or two Emails came eventually showing him escorted by comely Orientals, but I'm told the best looking gals out there are often fellas....... Menage a deux objective achieved after we'd ditched him & the one in the fancy hat.

I think `taches in Germany fell out of favour around 1945.
Can`t think why.
