| I remember going to Putlos about 1974-1975 time. We (RMP Det) were supprting the anti-tank pl's when they were doing live firing. Some of the best weeks I ever spent. A very nice bar not far from the camp and a holiday village just down the road. | |

| I spent many a week supporting the Milan concentrations at Putlos. I was also involved in maintaining the Centurion Target Tanks that were used during the firing. Being inside one of these tanks when the lads were firing was an experience never to be forgotten. | |

| I remember being in Putlos with anti tank gunners when England won the world cup in 66. Quite an atmosphere!!! Especially as the german army were in the camp. I also remember doing exercises in the Grunewald and coming across a detachment of the Berlin police who were also on a patrol. They were wearing the Nazi type helmets. I am sure I was not the only one on either side who thought a few years ago we would have been in a close contact firefight. | |
