Born at BMH Rinteln

I was born in BMH Rinteln on 31 December 1968.
My father is Alan Harwood who was in the RAOC and stationed in Detmold at the time, I think he was a Staff Sergeant when I was born. He later went on to be RSM WO1 at CAD Kineton.
He and my mum Rita are now living in the North West of England, it would be nice to hear from anyone who remembers him and my mum.
Requests for photos of Rinteln please, we left Germany when I was 18 months old.

Hi Bev, my son was born at Rinteln, a few years after you...well 20 years after you actually in 1988. And before that in 1983 we were posted to Kineton, so although we have a bit in common I came after your dad and I have no snaps of Rinteln. So not much help really lol.

If you go to the Main Page of this site then click on Locations then click on Rinteln then BMH there is an aerial photo of the BMH site with the various buildings marked as adapted for civilian use after the BMH closed some years ago
