Hi everyone
Just found the site by mistake. Fantastic

I was the tailor who did the amalgamation in 1969 along with three German tailors. In those days I was in the Life Guards but transfered to RHG for the amalgamation. My wife and I had a fantastic time whilst we where there, meeting some great people and having some great nights.

I remember one night we could't get a taxi home so we went to the MRS and got a lift home in an ambulance. Only in the army!

Phil

Hi Don
It was a bit busy, I did have a few night sleeping on the tables in the tailors shop. Hundreds of cockroaches.

George,
Was at the Royals re-union in June, very moving and met some old pals.Memorial service was held on the Sunday,it was great to meet old pals after so many years. There is another re-union planned for next year if you are interested!Yes,things have changed in Detmold, all military Units gone, but still some MQs occupied by service families!
