Hi everyone
Just found the site by mistake. Fantastic

I was the tailor who did the amalgamation in 1969 along with three German tailors. In those days I was in the Life Guards but transfered to RHG for the amalgamation. My wife and I had a fantastic time whilst we where there, meeting some great people and having some great nights.

I remember one night we could't get a taxi home so we went to the MRS and got a lift home in an ambulance. Only in the army!

You must have been one of the busiest guys at the Amalgamation.I took part in the parade.Not sure if we knew each other.

It was a bit busy, I did have a few night sleeping on the tables in the tailors shop. Hundreds of cockroaches.

Was at the Royals re-union in June,very moving and met some old pals.Memorial service was held on the Sunday,it was great to meet old pals after so many years.There is another re-union planned for next year if you are interested!Yes,things have changed in Detmold,all military Units gone,but still some MQs occupied by service families!

Yes i have seen some air photos,its the same allover pergamos camp in cyprus gone ,stoughton barracks in guildford gone they
just cant keep there hands of the forces.
and its still the same anyway they can cut funding to the services they will,
