| For those who were part of the British Occupation Force in Germany from May 1945 until May 1955. Do you remember how we were told that this was a peacetime home posting? Well the MoD has finally acknowledged that it was in fact active service and the peacetime posting was wrong. Of course being on active service doesn't mean that medals will be issued. Just interesting to know how they lied to us all those years. | |

| not when you were on a fizzer it was read out that on....did...while on active service also when on guard it was refered to as being on active service, they have probably forgotten arbor | |

| Clearly remember 'marching them in' and being 'marched in' ... and yes 'in that he, whilst on Active Service did blah, blah, blah' .. 1952 -54.
