RASC - Run Away Someones Coming

RCT - Rice Crispy Testers or Rickshaws, Cabs and Taxis

RAOC - Rag and Oil Company or Royal Airborne Overseas Commandos (my favourite)

RAMC - Rob All My Comrades

REME - Royal Engineers Made Easy

ACC - Aldershot Concrete Company or Andy Capp's Commandos

SAS - Saturdays and Sundays - Soft as Shit (Best not said when they (SHHHH) are around

RAVC - Really All Virgin Craphats or (this really is too rude)

Were'nt female RUC called GREENFINCH ?

You're right teabag, we have done this before. These seem to be more modern though.

My memory's playing up, HOLDFAST, SHELDRAKE, BLUEBELL etc. . . what was R SIGS appointment title again ?

Used by many as a stepping stone to senior rank (I knew 2 guys who did this, one an RAOC MTI thought he would propel his career an absolute waste of uniform, another, also an RAOC MTI did it for all the right reasons and really did his best to lead those astray young men back onto the right path).
