Back around '73 I heard a Jock VM use that name for the first time and I allways thought it was a "local thing".
An Instrument Tech with us in The Kesh was so taken by it he called himself a Wirebender.
Never caught on though. | |

High Altitude - Low Opening perhaps. Think our lot do it as well. Always makes me laugh when I see James Bond doing one from a Hercules or similar. He is all kitted up with oxygen but the yanks are standing there at the back with the ramp down sans any breathing gear. Tough those yanks! | |
