Hi Olliee,

He was Sgt Jim Hughes from Scotland. You could be correct about 39 Fld Sqn as there was an amalgamation of the Regt in 1976. We were posted back to UK in March 1977.

name doesnt ring a bell, can you remember anyone from cardiff taff?

it was a long time ago but you might be able to help me with a search can you remember any of the young girls that served in the naafi in the pub?

i was with 39 from 72-75,the only taff i remember was nutcase taff erickson(no offence).dont remember any sergeants by that name.SSM was harry harrison.

if i remember correctly after 75,23 & 25 regiments amalgamated and became 2ADER

23 and 25 amalgamated in 1976 to become 2 ADER, both in Roberts Barracks at the time, being renamed 25 Engineer Regiment in 1981.

I served in Roberts Barracks from 1973 to 1979 in the Reme Wksps of 23 Engr Regt and 2 ADER Wksps.
