Back on strength again after fighting with Trojans, domestic disruption  whilst new heating system went in to replace single open fire, warding off shingles  &  Parsonage Turner syndrome............  don't know what that latter is, neither does anyone else apparently, but Dr. Google says only 1.64 in 100k get it.  Physio confirmed my suspicions that I was  "special" and gave me a hug.  Pity it was a feller.........

Reminds me of those confusing few months when I'd swapped the gun on my cap for a Jimmy......... Never could understand what you communicators talked about. or why they found modulating their tweeters , doubling a sideband or discussing Yogi Bear's antenna to be so enthralling.

Pleased to report that I continue to struggle to stay on the top side of the turf with  an annoying number of age related medical issues, none life threatening at the moment.  I would like to share a short story about a Brit friend.  Tim Willis came to Canada with his mother and three brothers when children were evacuated  from Britain during WW2.  His father was a surgeon in the 8th Army in Africa. The family was located in Toronto where Tim's mother worked in a munitions factory.  It was not an easy life for her.  At the end of the war the family, except for Tim, returned to England.  When he received his National Service call he returned and fulfilled his military  obligations in the RN. But he returned to Canada and became a licensed vehicle mechanic followed by teacher training.  He joined the staff of the Secondary School  in North Huron Township where he eventually  became  the Tech Director on my staff.  He is now retired but still has a keen love for cars.  Recently he saw a 1953 Triumph  advertised for sale on E Bay in Michigan.  He checked it out and could not resist buying it.  The picture below shows Tim in his 53 Triumph which qualifies for the title of "Das Auto."

The colour in the picture taken earlier this month is disappointing as the car is primary yellow.

My apology for the significant error in the picture shown in my previous post. The car is not a 53 Triumph but a 53 MGTD. Just further evidence that I am losing it.
