For a mobile ring tone - the opening bars of the Woody Woodpecker Theme would wake everyone up in a church service .

I can see why you'd think so !

Our lovely new Larkspur radios are behind me but it hasn't worked very well.

Having seen all this stirring stuff about the guns, I've been scouring my "Barrack Room Ballads for something "Scaley" to return the compliment.

Sadly although Mr Kipling writes some good stuff about the Engineers, he doesn't mention the heliograph in his book.

BUT - he does make exceedingly good cakes! geek

[quote="Gordon."]Scipio is my favorite.

Sounds great on the Trooping !

I think a lot of my favourite marches are played on the day.

I defy anyone not to tap his feet to "Preusens Gloria", (pre Nazi of course).

Top of the Pops for me though -"les Heugenots", it's a slow march but I think it sounds great.
