1st Royal Regiment of Scotland have been given 72 hrs to move to Belfast or quit the army! What on earth is the Ministry of Disasters doing folks?I know what I would do.Stick two fingers up at them and walk away as who would want to be part of this part time army. They will need us before we will need them. scratch scratch

The Scottish Regiments should be kept in Scotland. This is short of a disgrace by the MoD (Ministry of Disasters) along with our purile elected muppets in the Tory-Conmen and the Limp-dumbos coalition party. One wodners just how many of them have ever served in the Regulars or the Reserve Forces?'

I wonder if any of their Reserch Assistants trawl through Forum Websites such as this one, or if our Lords and Masters, Mr Dave, Mr Ed, Mr Clogg have instructed GCHQ to trawl through just to see where the disadents are - but I do get a tad cynical about things nowadays. I do remember the rumours flying around the army where I was stations (Winchester) in the early 1970s about a 'Coup' and Lord Mountbatten taking over as the Military Governor of the UK - but it was all just talk and rumours and beer fuelld Pub talk, and nothing else. (but it was fun at the time), and I'm really not a mutineer or revolutionista..... I take me Meds and am a quite old law abiding geezer now..... Sleep

I was with REME and served 12 years, I never got to spend more than 2 years in any given location and was used to the moving. But to give these lads 72 hours to decide is simply not fair or realistic, what is the Army coming to?
