| Hi everyone,
My grandfather, James Drummond Hall, Army no. 14283092, finished his service in May 1946 aged 41 as a Company Quartermaster Sergeant attached to 936 Port Construction & Repair Company. His 'Notification of Impending Release' report was written in Germany and stamped '151st Railway Construction Company'. He was in charge of the Unit's Clothing Store "for over a year". His service records note his movements accurately until he disembarked in North West Europe at the end of June 1944, but after that, all locations are only noted as 'N.W.E.'. I have googled the above Companies, but I have had little success with discovering where they were and when. Would anyone have any information on the movements of 936 Company between June 1944 and June 1946? Many thanks in advance,
Mike | |

| Did you get anywhere with your enquiry? My dad was with 936 in NW Europe from 30.6.44 until 19.1.46, more or less the same time as your relative. My dad was Sapper David Baynes 2018158. | |
