PostSubject: 936 Port Construction & Repair Company, Royal Engineers   3/1/2018, 12:27

Hi everyone,

My grandfather, James Drummond Hall, Army no. 14283092, finished his service in May 1946 aged 41 as a Company Quartermaster Sergeant attached to 936 Port Construction & Repair Company. His 'Notification of Impending Release' report was written in Germany and stamped '151st Railway Construction Company'. He was in charge of the Unit's Clothing Store "for over a year".
His service records note his movements accurately until he disembarked in North West Europe at the end of June 1944, but after that, all locations are only noted as 'N.W.E.'.
I have googled the above Companies, but I have had little success with discovering where they were and when.
Would anyone have any information on the movements of 936 Company between June 1944 and June 1946?
Many thanks in advance,

Mike

Mike, Welcome to the Forum.

One of our specialists in this type of service record and unit location in Germany will probably be able to advise you soon.

Regards
Alan
