To whom it may concern! In the 'Whats New' section I noticed you posted a list of locations for the RAC, I'd like to correct you on 3RTR, if I may? It should read as follows:-

Flensburg 1946-1948
Detmold 1953-1962
Fallingbostel 1965-1967
Wolfenbuttel 1969-1971
Fallingbostel 1971-1976
Paderborn 1979-1986
Hemer 1988-1992
Fallingbostel 1992
Amalgamated with 2RTR in 1992

Is Tidworth unmentionable? 67-69.

What happend during the long NAFFI break post Detmold and pre the 65 trek to Fallingbostel.

Well no not really but seeing as it's in England and not BFG/BAOR I thought I'd give it a miss! Likewise Catterick which the Regt moved to after Detmold, does that answer your question? Rolling Eyes

I do apologise for misunderstanding that gaps in history might be due to being outside BAOR.

My cousin served with the Cambrai Band of 3 RTR when they were at Fally in 71, I made the long treck from Wulfen where I was serving with 7GM Coy RAOC at the time to spend a weekend with him and his wife, I was made very welcome, they were a great bunch of lads that I met. Fond memories of BAOR
