Served in JHQ with the ARRC prior to my discharge in 2003. Lots of old buildings which are left to rot due to the possible withdrawel of troops in the coming years and the lack of money in the kitty!

Does anybody know at which date JHQ is going to close? Is there a decision for it?

2012 I heard. ARRC moving back to RAF Innsworth, but by all accounts the rest of the Euro Armies want it to stay where it is, but rumours is rumours. I know one thing though. If it does close, it'll halt the gravy train for quite a few of the MoD Uncivil Serpents.

Yes, returning to the UK will be quite a shock to the system for the Snivelling Servants and the Teachers!!!!! That will be the only good thing about the whole thing!

I was with Northag Transport Company 72-77, wondered what happened to it, I did hear that it was moved to Southern Germany.

I used to live at 40 Ballymena walk. Any one with any pics would be appreciated.

I never served there, but we used to do a summer exercise there every year, TEWT's were they called?

We lived at 26 Ballymena Walk for 8 months in 1955/56. The thing I remember most as a 9-year old was accompanying my Dad when he played golf on the green in front of HQ. When I went back for the first time in 2009, whilst they clearly do not play golf anymore, you can still make out the tee positions. So when did the golf stop?
