Bad Salzuflen!

Have been browsing through my old photo's and have come up with the attached post card.
Was Bad Salz near Osnabruck or Herford?
I bought the card in '57.
Has "Developement" ruined the area, as here in the UK, or is it still the same?

Bad Salz was east of Herford on the way to Detmold

We had a lively but inconculsive discussion a little while ago as to who exactly was stationed in the spa town (in the very early days of BAOR it was a sateliite HQ of the main HQ BAOR situated in Bad Oeynhausen). Any thing you can add would be appreciated

I've done a few exercises there. Great pubs and barn accommodation for the troops, well us sheltered brigade lot anyway.

Afraid I can't help with info about Bad Salz.
All I remember is that it was within walking distance of our barracks, (Maresfield.)
Yes,the pubs were OK (I believe), afraid recollections a little hazy as they tell me that after over-imbibing in one I consumed a whole jar of German mustard for a bet.
It must have been true, as I had violent heartburn all next day.
(Incidently I still prefer that type of mustard to this day, so it didn't put me off the stuff, and often buy a pack of Bratwurst from Lidl's and plaster it on as an accompaniment to a can or two of DAB.)
